The 2024 House of Somms Chardonnay is a modern and well-balanced Chardonnay from Elgin, South Africa. The Chardonnay grape is known for its versatility and ability to express terroir, resulting in wines with freshness, fruit, and finesse.
The wine originates from Elgin in the Western Cape – one of South Africa's most renowned regions for cool-climate Chardonnay. The region is situated at a high altitude and close to the ocean, providing optimal conditions for elegant and fresh white wines.
Soil: A blend of clay and sandstone, which contributes to the wine's balance, structure, and fine minerality.
