Vasques de Carvalho Dry White is a white port from Douro, produced from traditional white grape varieties from the region. The wine is a blend of white port with an average age of about six years.
Part of the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, while another part matures in 550-liter casks. This combination provides both freshness and a more developed character with depth, softness, and subtle vanilla notes. The wine has 19.5% alcohol and 46 g/l of residual sugar.
It is an exciting interpretation of white port because it can be enjoyed as an aperitif, used in cocktails, or served with food. In short: Port wine doesn't always have to be dark, sweet, and heavy.
