Fins Bois is one of the 6 appellations in Cognac and the area is covered with clay and calcareous soil very similar to Champagne Crus.
Furthermore, Fins Bois is located in a lower-lying area known as "Pays-Bas" in northern Cognac where heavier clay soils also occur. The area is 31,000 ha and is surrounded by the first three crus. Fins Bois is generally characterized by producing nice round and soft cognac with good storage potential.
Delisle XO vintage 1975 has a nice very deep amber color. As a very special vintage, it is unfiltered, i.e. without the addition of water and therefore a higher percentage of alcohol.
The aroma and taste are fantastically concentrated with advanced floral and slightly candied fruit notes such as
has slowly developed over the many years of storage. Vintage 1975 is therefore stronger than Vintage 1965, but has a charming and nice sweetness in the taste.
