Churchill Graham Lda. is the comet in Oporto. Founded in 1981 by Johnny Graham at a time when several port wine houses went from being family-owned houses to the large multinational groups. "..I felt that there was room for a specialist producer of top-class Port wine, made using the old traditional methods. Not for the sake of tradition, but because there is no better method of making port wine..., says Johnny Graham. The rest is history, we are tempted to say. Churchill Graham Lda. has received a sea of ​​enthusiastic reviews and is undisputedly among the elite. "..My approach is always to try to transform the grapes into Vintage Port..", says Johnny Graham. "..No matter which Churchill Port you enjoy, it is always Class A wine.."
Churchills is today the only Port winery that exclusively uses grapes from "Grade A" fields for all Ports.

Churchill's Vintage Character Reserve Port
Like all Churchill Ports, Vintage Character Reserve Port is made using the old traditional methods. The grapes are trodden with the feet in granite cellars in the Quinta high up in the Douro Valley. The grapes from each small plot are stepped on and processed separately. In the spring, the wine is transported in barrels down to Churchill's lodges in Villa Nova de Gaia. Here then begins the strict selection process, which ends with the optimal combination for each individual type of Port wine. Vintage Character Reserve Port is a youthful, fruit-saturated and well-balanced Port that gives small memories of licorice confection. Easily accessible, yet with the backbone and structure that can only be obtained from top grapes from the upper Douro Valley. Perfect "Hyggegate".
