Grapes and Vinification
A top wine from 960 meters altitude in Alto Adige – an intense, fresh, and mineral Kerner from Cantina Valle Isarco's flagship series.
GRANIT960, named because the wine is fermented in a 960-liter granite vessel. The vessel is carved from a granite block sourced from an old monastery high up in the mountains.
The vines are grown against the old monastery wall in a monastery that is no longer in use. In addition to the granite the grapes acquire through the minerality of the soil, the wine is developed, as mentioned, in a large granite vessel before its release.
The bottle is sealed with granite, and the gift boxes include an original piece of granite from the monastery wall.
