The house's fields are located opposite Ch. Pétrus and is a neighbor of Ch. Lafleur.
Ch. La Fleur-Pétrus has approx. 18.7 hectares of fields planted with 91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
It is a wine with complexity and elegant structure and of a unique quality that gives the wine a fantastic aging potential.
This unique location on the north-eastern part of the Pomerol plateau provides perfect drainage and soil conditions that are characteristic of Pomerol, with lots of gravel and "grasse-de-fer" (a special iron-containing soil type that is only found in Pomerol and is to give the area's wines their distinctive character).
Ch. La Fleur-Pétrus is described by many as the second wine to Ch. Peter. This is NOT the case, it is an independent wine and production and a different owner.
