Aalborg Jule Akvavit rests on ancient artisanal principles. This is why it has its high strength, high cumin content and rustic taste. The recipe has remained the same since its launch in December 1982, but the bottle and packaging have varied from Christmas to Christmas. The alcohol percentage is high and is exactly 47.4% vol. This corresponds to 8 degrees spendrup, which was the measuring unit for alcohol at the end of the 1800s.
Aalborg Jule Akvavit is a Danish Christmas tradition in itself. Therefore, of course, we do not change what is inside. On the contrary, we vary what is outside from year to year. This year's Christmas Akvavit design is made by Jette Frölich, who has 45 years of experience with Christmas clips and who has left her mark on the Danish Christmas in recent decades. She is a Danish icon in Christmas design and with her classic elegance, this year's bottle designer is the epitome of Danish Christmas. The bottle itself is also new, it changes shape as tradition prescribes every fourth vintage and this year has both edges and rounded shapes.
