History and Winery

Domaine de la Présidente is a family-owned winery located in the heart of the Cairanne appellation in the southern Rhône region. The vineyards are situated on clay-limestone soils, and the winery operates with ambitious standards for terroir and sustainability. Their wines from Cairanne combine a sunny climate with moderate nighttime temperatures, resulting in wines with ripe fruit, but also good acidity and finesse. 

Grapes and Vinification

• Typically a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre – classic grape varieties in Cairanne. 
• Hand-harvested grapes from older vines for intensity and complexity. 
• Vinification in steel tanks or partially in oak barrels, with a focus on preserving fruit and structure.
• Aged to develop nuances and tannins – the result is a wine with both juiciness and aging potential.
