The wine invites with a cascade of scents in the bouquet of prunes, cedar wood, mineral, and its characteristic scent of chocolate, which makes it so easily recognizable in blind tastings. The wine swells with class and elegance and offers lots of complexity and finesse in a very delicious velvety structure.
Branaire Ducru is one of the comets of the Médoc that is worth keeping an eye on. For the last 10 years, the castle has entered the elite of Saint-Julien. The castle makes a fantastically delicious Saint-Julien, very rich and perfumed, with a lot of personality, as well as great depth and complexity. "Excellent, should be upgraded to a 3. Cru" says Parker, who adds that Branaire can be as good as 1. Cru's in top vintages.
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot
