Pol Roger created their Prestige Cuvée in tribute to Sir Winston Churchill and his high desire for qualities that he sought in his champagnes, namely: robustness, a full character and relative maturity. The exact blend is still a family secret, but it is undeniable that the composition would be recognized with approval by the man to whom it was dedicated: "My tastes are simple, I am only satisfied with the best" .

Pinot Noir predominates, providing structure, breadth and robustness, while Chardonnay contributes elegance, finesse and subtlety. Cuvée Winston Churchill consists exclusively of grapes originating from Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards.

Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is produced only in the very best vintages and is always released much later than all the other vintage Champagnes from Pol Roger.
