Origin: Champagne, France
Grape: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2004
Type: Vintage Champagne – Brut
Color and appearance:
An elegant, golden hue with fine, persistent bubbles that reveal the finesse and age of the champagne.
Nose (Bouquet):
Delicate and complex nose with notes of white flowers, citrus fruit, almond, and toasted hazelnuts. With aeration, it opens up to toasted brioche notes, ripe peach, and a hint of minerality.
Taste:
The 2004 vintage offers a silky texture with great precision. The taste is balanced between fruity ripeness and freshness. Citrus and stone fruit meet notes of marzipan, toasted bread, and a slightly spicy undertone. The finish is long, mineral, and creamy with a chalky elegance that is characteristic of Dom Pérignon.
Serving:
Perfect as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to shellfish, lobster, oysters, or dishes with light truffle. Best served at 8-10 °C.
Aging potential:
Already wonderful now, but still has an aging potential of another 10-15 years under the right conditions.
