A West Jutland whisky demon with Spanish blood in its veins. Stauning El Clásico is a matured rye whisky that has been finished in vermouth casks.
Rye whisky and sweet vermouth have always paired perfectly in the iconic Manhattan cocktail. We wanted to capture this synergy in our rye whisky. So, we gave the matured whisky a finish in vermouth casks, and the experiment was more than successful: a warm-blooded whisky with a deep, amber-gold color and a sweet aftertaste with a bitter hint of herbs. Perfect for an exclusive cocktail or enjoyed neat in the glass in the company of an exquisite cigar.
The result is a warm and intense flavor of freshly harvested grain with a spicy and bittersweet finish. A classic is born.
