LETH XO Reserve is a premium rum from Helsingør Spritfabrikker and part of the LETH series. With an alcohol strength of 42%, it is created as a rum for slow enjoyment – preferably neat and at room temperature, where the rum's character is allowed to shine.
The LETH series is developed with a focus on modern rum experiences, where quality and character are at the center. XO Reserve is an obvious choice for both the experienced rum enthusiast and for you who want to explore rum at the more exclusive end.
Rum is produced from sugar cane, typically as sugar cane juice or molasses, and exists in a wide spectrum of styles. Aged rum often develops notes of vanilla, caramel, spices, and dried fruit, depending on production and aging.
The designation XO is generally associated with a more mature and exclusive style within the world of rum, but there is no single common international age definition for XO rum. Therefore, XO should not automatically be understood as a specific minimum age.
Nose: Full-bodied and warm with classic rum notes and a pleasant sweetness.
Palate: Round and smooth with darker sweetness, spices, and a warm alcoholic finish.
Aftertaste: Long and pleasant with warmth, sweetness, and a rounded rum character.
LETH XO Reserve is best enjoyed neat at room temperature. Use a tulip-shaped spirits glass if possible, which gathers the aromas and makes it easier to experience the nuances of the rum.
A few drops of water can be added if you wish to open up the aromas further. Ice can of course be used, but for a premium rum like this, serving it neat will provide the best impression of the spirit's character.
