In the heart of Jamaica, we find Appleton Estate. One of the few rums in the world that can highlight "terroir," including unique weather and growing conditions for sugarcane, as a significant reason for its unique quality.
Appleton Estate is located in the Nassau Valley and dates back to 1655, when Sir Francis Dickenson founded the farm. The first production of rum can be documented back to 1749, making it the oldest distillery in Jamaica with continuous rum production.
The rum is produced at a very high level of craftsmanship. Every step of the production is monitored – from the selection of sugarcane and the use of natural yeast in the process to the aging in barrels and the final blending by the Master Blender.
Appleton Estate 21 YO Nassau Valley Casks is aged for a MINIMUM of 21 years and is a blend of Appleton’s unique hand-selected copper pot-still and column-still distillates, which contribute significantly to the special flavor of the finished rum. This results in a very rich and full-bodied rum that possesses both the power of the pot-still distillate and a unique softness from the column-still distillate. You can easily taste the age here.
Appleton's flagship – which has a stunning dark color, solely the result of a 21-year journey in American bourbon casks. Floral scent notes that quickly transition into nuts, with notes of deep vanilla, orange peel, nutmeg, warm coffee, and cocoa.
This rum is a symphony for your taste buds.
With NO added sugar or coloring, this rum speaks for itself, says Master Blender Joy Spence.
