Our iconic butterfly, Pure Amande, was created in 1986. Our Summerbird became a breakthrough in the world of chocolate and the beginning of Summerbird Organic. The philosophy then, as it is now, was to create the perfect chocolate based on the best ingredients from nature. The recipe for the Summerbird is simple: pure marzipan made from stone-ground Mediterranean almonds, coated in our dark chocolate, Amazonas 61%. A perfect combination where the almond flavor and the delicate floral notes in the succulent marzipan are highlighted by the fruity dark chocolate.
