Pingus
Grape: Tempranillo 100%
Storage: 10 - 25 years
Alcohol: 14 - 15.5%
Vinification:
Traditional, but no clarification or filtration, and the wine is racked only a minimal number of times during the 18 months of aging in new oak barrels.
Tasting comment:
Deep, almost black color. Sweet scent with notes of blackcurrant, licorice, spice cake, cigar box and oak. The taste is rich and intense with great viscosity and several layers of nuances in the aftertaste.
