The story behind Gosling's Black Seal and Gold Seal Rum and the Gosling family began over 200 years ago. In the spring of 1806, the wine and spirit merchant James Gosling, son of William Gosling, set out from England on board the ship Merceury with goods worth more than 10,000 pounds bound for America….
Today, after more than 200 years, the family business is the only one still blending and bottling rum in Bermuda. At the same time, it is Bermuda's largest exporter of a locally produced product.
