Who are we....
Where it all began.
Ludv. Bjørns Vinhandel is an old Copenhagen business, but it actually began in Helsingør in 1760. It was in that year that a young Juddler, Niels Cristensen Simmelkjær, settled in the enterprising maritime and sound customs town and obtained citizenship as a trader in the town. To begin with, Simmelkær traded in Icelandic sweaters, warm mittens, sea boots, blazers and other clothing for sailors. Later, he gradually included other product groups, e.g. wine.
What are we doing today?
In 1976, the wine business was taken over by Jørgen Scheele and Michael Lauemøller, the latter is a third-generation wine merchant, and since then Ludv. Bjørns Vinhandel distinguished itself as one of the capital's most well-known and respected wine shops. In 2005, Søren Nørbygaard and Christian Lauemøller were admitted as shareholders and wine merchants to maintain and further develop the service and expertise Ludv. Bjørns Vinhandel is known for
Ludv. Bjørns Vinhandel has a large selection of wines from all over the world. Among the business's customers are private companies, better restaurants and hotels as well as many public institutions.
